Subject: Where should my ground wire go?? IP: Logged
Message: I just moved my battery to the rear of my truck, I have 2awg running from under the hood to battery, where should I run the ground to? How do I know what to ground to, too little or enough?

Message: I would say run a positive and negative cable from the battery to under the hood...otherwise your starter will be drawing current through the body...and it's probably not as good of a conductor as a big piece of wire...it may cost a heck of a lot more...but probably well worth every penny in the end...but that's just my thoughts...I know if it was me I would run new cables for both...but that's just me...I tend to spend the extra on all my "projects"

Message: CJ is right. to avoid any problems keep the ground connected to the factory original location. it may cost a little more but, you will avoid problems. just my 2 cents.
