I have a 2000 dakota sport. I just got a cd player, it is rated for 45x4. Im just wondering if anyone knows the what the stock speakers are rated for. thanks... john

I dont know the exact wattage of the stock speakers. I got a 2000 Sport also. I do NOT have the Infinity system. I put in a Kenwood CD rated at 44 wattsX4.Ive had it in their ever since I got the truck brand new. The stock speakers are able to handle the watts with no problem. Ive had volume cranked many times and the stock speakers held up fine.

My head unit runs 52X4 into the stocks and they sound great and are still holding up fine. I had the basic system as well when I bought the truck.
