Subject: door panels 97 dak IP: Logged
Message: hey...being my first install i want to make sure im not gonna break something, heh. I have manual windows, and thats whats keeping the panel on after i disconnect the door handle bracket, and pop the screws. Does the window handle pry off, or do i have to get behind the panel to disconnect it somehow? Any help is appreciated, Thanks!

Message: No, you do not pry it off. There is a small metal clip right behind the plastic window crank. I've used a fork to get it out, and I've heard of people using a paper clip bent the right way to get it off. To see it, you can push on the door panel, and look behind the plastic window handle, and it should be right there. I've also heard of someone getting something like a dish rag and looping it between the door panel and the crank, and simply turning the window crank, and the rag will catch the clip. Never tried it myself, so I'm not sure if that works.
