whats up gang?? I have an 02 QC that im looking to upgrade stereo/speaker wise. I cant rip out seats or abandon my children to install some big a** sub but I do want some sort of bass. Would something like these work installed in the doors or possibly under the seats??? any feedback would help alot..thanks.

Your doors arnt sealed and are not stiff enough. You would get about as much bass as from a component speaker system. If you want subs I have the box that I built in my quad cab for sale. All seats stay in but you loose the foldability of the back seats. Its for 3 8" subs but you could use it for 1,2, or 3 subs dependig on what you want. You would get bass but nothing more than what you would get from a component speaker set. Check out http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=419873&page=5 for the box. Take it easy

I also have an '02 qc and I built a custom box with one 8" sub which (.3 cu.ft. sealed) that fits in between the front seats. the armrest/console is still bolted to it so it can still fold up for an extra seat if needed. I am using a 5 channel Soundstream amp to run the whole system, and for only 400 watts, it sounds very good. if that doesn't work for you, try a good component set with a decent amp and you will get some bass with better sound overall.

The quick and easy solution is to install the MTX Thunderform. The only catch is you can't fold up the driver's side rear seat with it in. Not a big deal really.
