they are the exact same amp, just a different colour.
i have the st1000d, and it slams at 1ohm!!!!
i picked up the "old" silver for about 30% cheaper because the new ones just came out. its a great amp and a great choice

Great amps. Small, powerfull, effecient, and chrome :) Don't expect the full power output they claim though that was reached with larger voltage input. At 14.4 they do like 997 watts. Still a great amp for the size.
