Message: the surface area of a 15 is riughly 4.85 and for two tens its 7.9246, check my math I could be wrong pie radius squared. so you have more surface area then he does but he is getting a much deeper/lower sound from his and lower frequence's tend to travel farther.
one of my good friends has a 98 single cab dak and because of space he has 2 10's also. the only way I could think of to do it is with a bandpass setup in the bed and blowthrews (ports into your cab. either in a tool box or under a bad cover, and because so much sound will escape outside it will be louder from 10feet away. it will also be louder from the 50 feet away it takes to get a ticket.
