 Subject: Help! Which Stock SPKR wire is ground??

I am in the process of installing new pioneer speakers in my 99 CC Dakota. I have already pulled apart the door, removed the stock speaker...and daylight is closing fast :-(
I had to cut the stock speaker wire harness to soder on the new speaker connectors....but I can't tell which stock wire is the ground? I don't want to screw this up and ruin my new speakers.
These are the two stock wire colors which connected to the stock speaker:
GREEN
GREY w/RED STRIPE
Your help is appreciated!
Note: I'm also doing the rear speakers....are the wires the same setup?

I just pullled the rear speakers out and the wires are:
BROWN w/ YELLOW STRIPE
BROWN w/BLUE STRIPE
Again, I don't know which is ground???

I believe there should be one wire that does not have a stripe on it and a wire that does. The wire that has the stripe is the ground. On the back, im not sure at all..... Thats really strange. I would say if you have a aftermarked head unit pull it out and look at what wires are connected where. Hope this helps. Take it easy.

Actually,
I'm still waiting on the aftermarket head unit, so today I just did the speakers. (For the head unit, I ordered a wire harness adaptor from Crutchfield...so all I need to do is plug in the new unit where the old one used to be)
Speaking of Crutchfield, I called and they gave me the IDs on all wires. Seems each door and eacj rear speaker all have different color codes.
Everything is installed now and it sounds good. ...can't wait for the Alpine head unit!

There is no "Ground" wire for the speakers. The head unit/amplifier outputs are differential, meaning one wire is "positive" and the other "negative."

wiring speakers backwards won't hurt anything, but they might not sound right if they're not all connected with the same polarity.
