Subject: home made sub box IP: Logged
Message: I was wondering if anyone has specific plans for building a box to fit under the rear bench and house two 10"s. I have built boxes before, but am looking to save myself the trouble of creating my own design. Thanks.

Message: I built a custom sub box for my 99 Ext Cab to fit snugly under the rear bench and hold two subs and an amp.
I built two cups to sit on the left and the right, each which holds a sub. There is a platform between them for mounting an amp. I had plenty of space left to put a little divider so I can throw some hand tools back there, too. It was not easy to cut all those angles, plus I had to tilt the top down in the back to get the bench to lay flat (the cups had to be a certain depth to prevent the subs from bottoming out).
If this sounds like something you like, I can take 10 minutes to draw a plan of what I did, but ultimately you'd have to change all the measurements anyway. I have two 8's and a smallish 100 W amp, compared to your 10's. For what it's worth, my design could easily be modified to fit the 10's and their optimal enclosed volume and still fit an amp under there.
