I just bought an ALPINE CDA-7897 deck off EBay today. Now, I'm not an audiophile, but I like good sound.
I have a 99 Dak CC and would like to replace the stock speakers (door panels and rear) with upgrades. I would like to get drop in speakers to simply replace the stock ones. What are the speaker sizes I should be looking for?
Any recommendation on speakers (manufacturer, type etc)I don't plan to by an amp anytime soon, I just want speaker which can handle cranking the volume without having the sound get all garbled.

I dont know if they are the same as a 97 Dakota Ext Cab which have 6.5" speakers in the front and back.

I would suggest that you try www.crutchfield.com to check the specific applications for your truck
or try to locate a stereo shop in your area which deals in aftermarket mobile audio and entertainment.
