Subject: Hidden Face Decks? Who? Where? IP: Logged
Message: Apparently there are some receiver decks out there that, when turned off, the face folds into the compartment and essentially nothing shows on the outside. When you push a button, the deck open up and the face...with all the controls unfolds out.
A friend of mind told me Alpine had one like this in the $500 range. He stated that the face of the deck itself was larger than the opening it folded into.
How bout for us poor folk who can only afford bout $300 or so?
TIA
I should mention I'm looking for a CD player with MP3, CD-R, and CD-RW compatibility.

Message: I just bought a Kenwood, KDC-722. Everything you're looking for, for about $320. Not to mention, Best buy had a $50 rebate on these a week or so ago. Check with them.

Message: don't buy a hidden face. Get detachable. It will get stolen very fast especially if you live in a big city. Trust me I know from experience. But if you aren't going to listen to me check out the jvc el kameleon it sounded great in my dack.
