Subject: 2003 clubcab subbox IP: Logged
Message: I am building my own sub box for two 10" subs and an amp to put under the rear seats of my 2003 dakota. I was looking at the MTX Thunderforms to get some inspirations and some diemensions. MTX claims a depth of almost 9", there is no way. The subs I have require 5 5/8" install depth. I think I am going to be short about 1-2 inches. Anyone else ever had the same problems? Any suggestions? Anything would be appreciated.

Message: What about putting 2 8" subs in. Would there be that much of a difference?

Message: Make a bracket, or just unbolt the seats and move them up as much as needed, then build the box to support the bottom of the seats like the tool box does.
