Earlier today I decided that I was going to go with 2 8" subs in my regular cab but after some thought I was wondering maybe if I took out my middle seat I could fit a custom box to house 4 8" subs behind the seat and then fabricate some mounts for my amp in between the seats where the middle seat used to be. Does this sound like a good idea and if so would the amp be alright from overheating?

Good amps survive in car trunks and shouldn't have any problems in your cab. Just don't install it upside down or with the cooling fan in/out ports blocked.
