Subject: 8" or 10"? IP: Logged
Message: I just wanted to get anybody's opinion on whether to get 1 10" or 2 8" subs for my RC? Not looking to spend a ton of cash because I have other plans in mind right now (i.e. 20" rims).

Message: If you set up the 8's right, they'll pound pretty hard;I'd even say better than 1 10". I have two 10's in my RC right now, but plan on adding 4-8's very soon.

Message: Id say go with the 2 8's. I have 3 in my quad cab and everyone asks me if they are 10's or 12's then tell them they are 3 8's and alot dont believe me. I mean they are solo baric L7's but i put 2 cheap Rockfords im my cousins car and they pound as well. Then again, is box space limited or can you make prettty much whatever size you want within reason? Cuase if you get the right 10 and vent the box it could also pound insainely hard.

Message: Thanks for all the info it looks as if I am going to get two 8". The only question is now which 8's and amp to get. What would you guys recommend. I will have about 600 to 700 dollars to play around with here in about a week and has anybody heard anything good about alphasonik amps. I have seen that some of them can handle a one ohm load which I would really like so I have even more wiring options.

Message: My question is the same so I thought I'd post it here. I have a club cab, and I was going to put 2 10's under the bench seat, but I was thinking maybe I should just go with 8's, what do you guys think? I want it to be really loud and to have everyone know that I'm coming, but I don't want it to be unbearable.

Message: You can find enclosures on Ebay. Just measure the room you have behind your seats after you move them to where you feel comfortable at and then match them with the dimensions of the box. Your other route is to make your own box.
