Subject: sub in quad cab IP: Logged
Message: I finally got a sub in my quad cab it fits right on the floor between the front and back seats on the hump in the middle.speaker and the port face the floor i put feet on it to keep it about an inch off the floor. The sub is only a JL 6" it is not to loud outside the truck but inside it thumps.I am running it with a mono 700watt alpine amp.I also added a 4 channel alpine amp for the door speakers with crossovers it sounds great goes loud enough inside the truck and is very clear.I am going to look for an alpine head unit hope to get an in dash changer. I almost gave up i thought it was hopeless.I had also tried behind the drivers sides rear seat just to tight for my liking. Thanks to all those for the ideas that kept me trying.

Message: Sorry No i did not even get a chance to take a picture i am not sure even how to post pictures.I hit a deer a last sat a couple of days after i got it all in.The trucks in the shop for awhile. As for the 12" you need a box with about 1 cubic foot.I had a 10" and not enough room for a box that dosent take up alot of passenger space.Thats why i went with the 6" it only needs .25 cubic feet for a ported box. Also both amps under my front seats alpine amps are very small for the power they put out.The 700 watt sub amp is smaller then the 360 watt 4 channel amp.Sorry i could not help more

Message: I did the same thing with a Kicker L5 8" ! It moves the same about of air as a 10" - goes deep & throws hard, just wish I had more than 220 watts to feed it. See my website for pics...
