Hey guys-
I own a 97 Dakota Club Cab that already has already had the factory stereo pulled an a Sony installed in it's place. It looks to me like the current Sony stereo that's in there is a 1 DIN, and has the installation kit to make 1 DIN systems fit properly.
My question is: I'm gonna get another stereo in place of the Sony...Are most 1DIN decks able to fit the same installation kit? In other words, can I take out a 1DIN deck and install another one without having to buy a new installation kit?

probably. The number of applications for 1.5-din head units is pretty small, so most of the head units will include whatever brackets you'll need. I had an Alpine CDA-D852 that came with various brackets for GM and Chrysler vehicles.
