Subject: MTX 6000 Problem IP: Logged
Message: i just got my 2 10" mtx thunder 6000s about 2 months and one of the 2 is hitting weird like it is rattling but i have all the screws in tight and i've taken it out of the box and put it back in it all seems fine but i dunno what to do but the other one is hitting fine what should i do?

Message: speaker failure. replace the bad one thru the warranty or upgrade to speakers that handle a higher rms wattage. peak power handleing can be rated very high as it is rated for as short a time as a microsecond. RMS power is the true rating of your equipement as it is rated at a constant wattage load verses a very short peak. you really need to have speakers rated at a slightly higher rms wattage, say 10% or so, then the amp is or this will continue to happen.
