 Subject: hooking up amp

im installing a system on a 03 dakota and i have a problem. i need to hook up rca wires to the factory radio which doesnt have rca plugs. i bought an adapter which hooks the rca wires up through the speaker wires. the problem is that i don't know which wires are the speaker wires and also i don't know which is the remote wire. if someone could tell me what color these wires are or tell me where i can find out the color codings for the radio wires it would be greatly appreciated. Nick,
There are many information websites out there that can show your wiring harness configuration. Try www.installdr.com--that's one of several that comt to mind.
Also, if you have the service manual, you can find the harness diagram in the Electrical section of the book.
