Message: Man Don't waste your money on Sony junk. If your going to invest some money in Stereo equiment go with Memphis,Kicker,Kenwood ect. Anything but Sony. If you need some help on deciding what to get just go to a stereo shop & look around & write down what you like & post it on here & these people on here will tell you if it is worth your money or not. Good Luck!!

Message: I'd get a Kicker or MTX sub. Sony makes good head units, but that's about it.

Message: Listen to everyone, sonys subs are junk. Stay away from MTX also. There are plenty in that price range. Ecspecially on ebay
JL W3, Kicker Comps, MMats pro cast, Element designs, Image Dynamic IDQ, Pucnh Hx2. The list goes on. Most of these subs would do good on about 200-250 watts.
Whats your budget for sub(s) and a amp?

Message: I had one and it sounded fine until it got stolen this morning. every one is right that it doesn't hit very hard. But mine sounded fine with a 600 watt amp. I am a poor college student, and the sub soots my needs fine. You aren't going to get competition quality bass but it sounds just fine inside the small dakota cab.

Message: You can get an 10" MTX 6000 series sub for around $100. I have one, feed it some nice clean watts and you'll have plenty of bass for personal use. I had to upgrade my regular speakers because I was drowning the highs in the lows the single, sealed-box 10" MTX 6000 was making.

That will kill that MTX. And thats retail price, you can check ebay for alot better deals.
And thats just one example. There is lots of subs out there. Just read some car audio boards.

Message: I have the 12" version of that five sided Sony sub. Its brand new in the box.
I have Ebay feedback.
I'll sell it for $65 + shipping.
I have heard these subs and they are a lot better than the round ones last year. Sony is finally putting some quality into their car audio products like they had back with the ES line and other pre-xplod products.
Email me at vincent454@hotmail.com if interested.
I also have some other used subs I am selling. Thanks

Message: BTW - if you don't decide to go with the Sony, CompVR's are pretty good sounding subs, too.
