Subject: help with seatbelt removal?? IP: Logged
Message: does anyone know how to remove the plastic covers from the seatbelts in a 01' dakota CC?? i need to remove them to get the the back panel and install rear speakers. I can see how they are attached, but i'm not sure if its possible to pull them off without breaking the clips. do i need any special tools, or can i pull them off carefully without breakin them?

Message: Take a flat blade screwdriver and pry it off, right between the plastic of the cover and the metal of the seat belt bolt. Just don't pry too hard. I also wouldn't suggest just pulling them off without using a screwdriver, as it puts a lot of stress on the plastic and can cause it to crack easier.
