Subject: Middle of install...Need help. IP: Logged
Message: Hello, everyone...
I'm in the middle of putting my speakers in. I've printed out two wiring diagrams so I make sure to connect the wires right (the speaker harness I purchased wasn't right)...both of the diagrams are different and now I'm to the front speaker and the two wire colors don't match either print-out. Not even the service manual matches the colors right...Can anyone quickly point me to a place where I might find the right wire colors for a 2000 Dakota SLT, standard system?

Message: David, do you remember how the wires were on the factory speakers, you can just look to see which one was hooked to the positive on those, and put the same one on the positive for your new ones, then of couse, the negative will go on the remaining connector. I'm not sure about the color code on those, and to tell you the truth, I can't really tell a difference in either way they are hooked up. Maybe somebody can explain what the difference is, cause I can't hear any at all. Are you putting new speaker wire in there, or just using the factory speaker wires. Unless you are building a very powerfull system, I think the factory speaker wire will be fine. Let me know how its coming.
