the amplified MTX subwoofer? I was thinking about upgrading to the MTX 6000 in the amplified subwoofer I have in the back of my DAK CC. Would it mess with the internal amp?

The concern you have here is the impedance of the sub, you will be going from the custom sub with about .7 ohms to the 6000 at 2 or 4 ohms, you will lose alot of the power you are currently experiencing. The sub that is in there is desinged for that amp, it is your best bet.

So, to replace subs, have to replace amp to? Besides remaining stock , recommendations? (Low cost but good amp and subs) Or for what little gained, best to stick with the stockers?

Not sure how the amped t-forms are wired. Low cost good amp would be a used one off Ebay. I bought my MTX amp off Ebay for about half the retail price at most online stores. They don't make my particular amp anymore, but at the time, it was an awsome deal. Just make sure it's rated for the ohms you will be runnnig the with upgraded subs. I woudl also recomend better subs than the MTX6000's if you are going to go to the effort of replacing the current ones.
