Subject: remote turn on problem IP: Logged
Message: hi i am intalling a premier deck out of my wrecked 300zx TT. i got the wiring harness for my 99 R/T and spliced all the wires correctly. it worke for a little while and then my amp short outs. its a kenwood 600 and whenever i str the car the blue light flicks on then off. i checked all connections and they are crimped fine. is there anyway i can run my remote turn from my amp to something to turn on my amp that powers my 15's ? Thanks alot. bobby

Message: Have you checked the ground connection on the amp. Thats what it sounds like to me. to check if it's the remote wire, you could get a small jumper wire, and just run it straight from your power wire connection, over to the remote connection just to see if it comes on. If the amp comes on, you know its something wrong with the remote wire, but if it doesn't, it's either your ground, or the amp is fryd.

Message: it sounds like you have it on the wrong wire. your fm anttena wire and your remote wire look basicle the same. exept the remote should have a wite line and the anttena be plain blue. this would be the problem since its just trying to raise the att than it turns off.
