Subject: Amping doors spkrs in qc
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a JVC deck that not a year old yet the MP3 model and alpine type R components in the front. The rear doors are still stock. I want to amp this setup because the deck cracks at high volumes and since the spkrs are soo low in the door you need alot of volume to get the same effect as a car. I don't have the factory infinity setup. Should I amp all the speakers or replace the rear and just amp the front. i'm also planning on placing my 8" sub box behind the center console infront of the rear seats if that changes anything. Sorry for the long post. Please help.

Trash all the door speakers and buy some real ones. When you see the Quality of the factory speakers, you will wonder why you didn't do it sooner.
I amped both front and back speakers and also added a sub box in place of the center console with two 8" Crossfires. I'm glad I added power to the front and rears. Both amps will fit under either the front or back seats, whichever you prefer.
Once you do this, it will make the Infinity system sound like an AM radio in comparison.

Amp the fronts for sure since you have those Aplines up there already. Replacing the rears would be an improvement, since they are for rear fill only I'm running 'em off deck power. If your going to be running a sub you'll need to amp the fronts to balance things out.
