Subject: Whew.. finally done! Here's pics... IP: Logged
Message: Well, at least with the major work. I will be putting door trim around the edge where in my amp lies.

you'll find the pics in the 'trucksound' album. (be sure to select 'show all')
-Alpine CDA-7941 Head
-PPI 5440 5 channel amp
-JLAudio XR650-CSi 6.5" Evolution Components (Front)
-JLAudio XR650-CXi 6.5" Coaxial Speakers (rear)
-JLAudio Stealthbox 8" Sub
This all sounds just beautiful. Looks factory too. I like it. But it was some haaaaard work. I lucked out with the crossovers fitting in the front doors. I used the factory wiring for the fronts so I wouldn't have to go through the doorjam tunnel (PITA). Whatcha guys think?
If anyone wants the templates for the wood standoffs i cut to support the amp, i'd be happy to provide them.
Cheers!

Message: Man those are some big crossovers for the door speakers. My Infinitys are tiny compare to that!

Message: nice pictures! great install. I see like me, you are blessed with the attention to detail disease. hehe. I can't believe we shared the same idea for the crossover mounting point in the doors. AND the door moulding idea. Very cool. Self tapping screws to the rescue huh! :O) I had the same luck with my tweets as you did. however, i used the factory brackets. i just used my dremel with a barrel sander bit, cleaned out the lip, my new JL tweets were press fit! unreal. they looked factory. and they still have full mobility behind the factory infinity grills. gotta love it. I am getting a bit of engine whine, not too bad... but only when accessories are on (lights). I think i'm picking it up from the stock wiring i'm using for the front components. I should also check my deck ground. trying to find the time.
Excellent work on your install though, looks really clean.
