Subject: 8" Subs in Quadcab
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a Quadcab and a local audio dealer says they think an 8" in sub in each back door would be sweet. I'm sceptical about the sound though. What do you guys think?

The problem will be sealing the doors up. Two 8" will fit behind the rear seats... granted they will not fold up anymore but it's doable. Two 8"s will fit in the center console as well.

I'm just going with one 8" cause that's plenty in small vehicle for my ears.

Cost me $800.00 for the fabrication and install of that box. That has two 8" Crosfires in it and it doesn't need much power to drive it. Really kicks. There are other threads in this forum that have people selling subs. Some of them are pretty impressive. Look around, You'll see a lot.

Martin,
Where'd you get that box and is it possible to buy somwhere. Looks good. I'd get it w/o the cup holder though cause I have a console already. Is the price Canadian?

Martin, Thanks for the quick reply. Do you guys have a website or something. The price is a little steep for me right now with the dollar conversions but I'd definatly be interested when I get the funds together. I really like the Ram on the front. I could possibly let a few people know since I live on an army base and most of my buddies are try to do their truck up. So if your frind is interested pass a contact to me or something.

If you only carry 4 passengers you could put a 10" down firing box right behind the centre consol and the back seat. I have done this sounds great(better than the 8" behind the rear seat) you can still fold up the seats. if you want to see pics send me an email
