Anyone here know for sure if an MTX 4250D will beat out a Boss REV685 supposed 1200w amp? I was pretty sure it would but I figured I should hear some other opinions before I buy one.

You get what you pay for, and the MTX will just about double it's rated output in the real world. Boss uses inflated numbers to market their products. One way to compare is to see what the fuse ratings are on the amps. The bigger the fuse the more watts you might get.
