Message: i think just buying the mtx thunderform loaded would be alot easier and you can get the thing loaded for 300 bucks from hifisoundconnection on ebay. not only is all the work done for you, the subs come with it, it's totally reversable, (in case you trade in the truck), and it looks effin' sweeet. sounds even better. most people on this board would vouch for that.

Message: i have adequate woodworking skills. I also have a couple friends that have more woodworking experience and are willing to help me. I have most necessary tools, like saws and power tools as needed.
I didnt know if the thunderform would fit in a reg cab. I knew they came for the ex cab but thats all.

Message: There's a bunch of back posts of listings on the types of good drivers for regular cabs if you do a search, but if you have the woodworking skill and the tools, I say go for it and make it!
The cost for HDF is like $15 for a 4'x8' 3/4" sheet, and that's my local store -- they gouge me too.
#8 Screws - a couple bucks for a box
Liquid Nails/100% Silicone sealant - a coulple toobs at a couple bucks a piece.
It's really not that expensive at all, you /should/ be able to build a box for not more than 25-30 dollars depending on what materials you used. It really helps if you have a sabre saw/scroll saw and a table saw in particular. They aren't needed, but they will cut down the time in construction considerably. I've made boxes with regular saws before that came out fine too BTW, so it isn't needed, but helpful.
Most enclosures for regular cab applications use sealed type of boxes, so design is real easy. Just use the manuf. specs.
If you want to carpet it, it's around $10-15 for carpet, 5 for the spray glue and a couple bucks for a bunch of razors.
BUILD IT!
