Subject: 98 RC Speaker Problems IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1998 RC R/T with the infinity sound system but i really can't stand it anymore. Everytime i go to get even the slightest bit of bass out of em my door panels give off that buzzing noise. All i want is a good system with a little bass. Not even subs (cuz i don't want to give up my storage room behind the seats).
Any info on why this is happening or more importantly a good setup to replace the stock speakers for some bass and mid sound.

Message: A good head unit is the best way to go, the factory CD is a piece of powerless junk. I boughtt a Kenwood KDC416 w/remote for 180.00 from crutchfield and it came with the wiring harness and instructions, its got 22 watts RMS per channel x4 and 180 watts max. It made 100% difference on the bass and sound quality. Finally I changed the door speakers to Blaupunt PCT652's and it really sounds good now. The rear speakers are worthless so don't bother trying to change them.
