Well, someone tried to break into my dakota over the weekend, but the attempt was unsuccessful. However, they was able to do some damage to my door handles. It appears they tried to pry the whole piece off, as well as break off the locks. I'm gonna replace these myself and was wondering if anyone has done this that might have some tips. I took the door panel off the passenger side to put the rod for the lock back in place so my key would unlock the door (I had to break into my own truck since neither door lock was operational). It doesn't look to complicated, but I was just wondering if someone has done this before with or without any major problems. I guess I was pretty lucky, cause there was a suburban about 10 cars down from me the had a nice DVD player mounted right up on the dash. They busted the windows out of that, and took it all. Well, any info would be appreciated.
