Subject: Club Cab sub box problems IP: Logged
Message: I got a sub box for 2 10's for under the rear seats but it sits up a little to high and the hindges hit it. Can I move the hindges up or do I have to take them off completely and attach the seats to the box somehow? Thanks.

Message: if make some upside down "U" brackets you can move the hinges up another 1.5" at the most. but then the backrest will be lose because it will no longer be able to attach to the hinge since its 1.5" higher.
how often do you have someone in the back seat? if its like me and you hardly ever have someone back there, you can do what it did.

Message: Mine is a '99. I think I need to move them up like 1 1/2" or so. I would like to keep the stock seats to keep it looking like it did from the factory.

Message: Get rid of the hinges and just place the seat cusions on top of the box/subs. How often do the seats get used. See ,BW's Setup and check Anthonys Audio Page, check Ken and Josh's ideas of putting the cusion on with an air gap between the cusion bottom and the skpr., for more ideas. When not in use throw them in the bed, we have a topper so its dry. There is also room to stand the cusions on end in the side where the cup holders were.

Message: When I had built my box for the 2000 i simply kept the seats in place and built as I went. I used the seats to angle the front of the seat highter than the rear and it seemd to work out great.. It was actually more comfoprtable if you didn't account for the 500 W RMS under your a55....
