After my new radio was put in my airbag light stays on. Any ideas on how to reset the light?

Take it to the dealer, but don't tell them it came on after you installed the radio. Tell them it just came on while you were driving. Or else they might charge you for the inspection.

Who installed your radio?? I know that if you have a passenger air bag switch (to turn it off) and you didnt plug the wires back in then that would cause the light to stay on. Depends on what model truck you have though. I know on my truck (2001) you need to unplug that to install a stereo so it would be nice to just double check.

The same exact thing happened to me, come to find out it was exactly as RizeBuz had explained. Check the airbag switch connection.

Thanks all. I checked the plug on the pass airbag switch. It was plugged in, BUT one of the wires was pulling out of the plug. Once it was back in place all was good.

I have the same issue right now. I have taken dash apart many times for stereo issues....but the light did not come on until one day when I turned the airbag switch back on after my daughter was not in the truck....
You all have given me good ideas to look @....

yeah i had the same problem when i put my head unit in. when back to it the next day and the airbag plug was just i little loose. so check that out

| Reverse lights

Ok so I go out this morning to leave, put it in reverse, and no reverse lights.....
The fuse is good, and so are the bulbs....
Isnt there like a reverse switch that activates them ???
Oh yeah, I drive a 5 speed

Not "like", there is one. Check the connector.

I can not find the switch even.....
I found a sensor that screws in from the drivers side of the transmission...????
The dealership didnt even know of the location ????
