Message: You do realize that measurements are based on the air space the speaker requires NOT how much room you might have. Thus someone elses box size will only work for you if you use the same speaker or one that has similar TS specs.

Message: 97-01 cc...I made about 50 of em. They are 47" x 10.5" x 7.25" high(but I customize them on a per sub basis). This is between the cupholders. You need to move up the seat hinges for my boxes. But you gain more bass. You can't get "deep hurt your chest" bass out of a thunderform or any box that is too small. Here's some pics.

Good luck

Message: Here is the one I built. It took a little modification that you probably wouldn't want to do. I had to take out the back seat and hinges, tool tray, and cut the back trim in half. Turned out really well.

Message: jason, your boxes look really nice. i think even for a 10 .65 cu ft per sub is small. i dont know maybe it's just me, but i start my sealed boxes at about 1.25 to 1.50 cu ft per sub and resize from there. Most of the ported boxes I have done have been about 1.75 to 2.50 cu ft with about 100 square inches of port space and tune accordingly. A friend of mine just finished his box for his RE XXX 12 and it's over 3.5 cu ft. It's tuned to 27Hz not all too loud but you can feel it.
keep up the good work on your boxes though.

Message: .65 cu ft would perfect for a sealed Kicker Solo 8" you could squeeze a 10" in there, but the 8" would be better (deeper bass).

Message: Many have built these themselves, take a look at BW1199's 98 Dak-CC, based on a design from Anthony, with some modification and many variations.

Message: kovzr6 thats a comfortable looking seat you got there lol. have you check with some kind of craft store you should be able to get some pillow suffing or some foam to build a 1.5 2inch seat just a thought.
also I can't beleive that memphis amp fits under the seat and is still powerful as it is. I might have to look into getting one of those.

Message: hey conig,
i know is solid, but i dont have people back there that much. its about 1.75" higher than the stock seat so you dont lose much headroom. if i need to put someone back there they can suffer. if its a trip, ill get a cushion.
the point is, is that it looks like a stock seat when you look through the windows. those pesky thieves will be expecting to see a big box on the back seat. muwuhahahaha *evil laugh*
and for the amp, its a great amp and its small. rated just under 1100rms at 1 ohm at 14.4v. and its 90% effecient. i have a 1 farad cap on it too. when i blast the system at night, there is no sign of dimming at all! and my subs are wired to 1 ohm.hehehe. the amp is too big for my subs, but when they blow, ill get better ones.

Message: Matt,
If your going to put (3) 12"'s in the back you will have to offset one from center R/L or at least raise the center for the HUMP. The hump is also off-center about 3/4". If you don't raise the box you loose about 3" of mounting depth over the hump area.
