 Subject: Door Panel on 93 Dakota Removal?

Hey
I got some new front speakers and I cant figure out how to get the door panel off... i get it all unscrewed but the door handle and window crank are in the way so i cant pull it off... how do i get around this?

there are clips on the inside of the door panel. get a screw driver and pry them off. don't loose the clips!!!

The window crank you pop the center piece off and there is a screw there that you need to unscrew. As for the door handle the outside part of that pops off.

On your power window you are going to have a screw by at the top near the mirror, one near the arm rest, and once you POP the electric windows and locks off, two more screws in there. Then you just have clips to pry off.

I have a 2001 manual window, clip on shaft of crank takes a cheap tool to remove after all the screws are out lift the door panel up i repeat lift it vertical, the tabs go in slots on mine, dont know about yours

yes those clips shoot out everywhere when you take the panel off. Kozmo has it right, sounds like he has done it as many, if not more, times than I have.

I have a 1993 dakota v6 the passanger side door will not open. it will open to the halfway latch not by using the door handel. you can push on it and it will go to the half way point. the handel does not seem to be catching. inside or out. and the power window only goes half way down. maby the window jumped off track and nocked somthing loos on the door catch. HELP
