 Subject: Amp to car battery?

I'm planning on instaling an amp and one sub in my 02 Dakota, and I was wondering if any veteran audio experts would happen to know the best way to get a cord from the amp to the battery? This is my first install, so any info will probably help. Is drilling nessasary? Thanks

I ran all the wires through the factory grommet above and in the corner of the fire wall on the steering column side. Not necessary to drill any holes.

I ran my power line through the rubber grommet on the passenger side of the vehicle. Just open the hood, and look down in there and you will see it.

Been a while since this thread got used, but I didn’t see another like it.
I have an 04 qc and wanna run my power line in as well. The only grommet I can see that I could run my 4 gauge through is the grommet that the hood latch runs through. Anyone know if that would work sufficiently? Any other suggestions? I really don’t feel like having someone drill.

There's a large harness running through the firewall, on the drivers side, about 6 inches down from the cowl; the hole is probably at least an inch in diameter. I'm running two 8 AWG cables through it so a 4 should go through

HEy bigg holer I hope you put a 1 inch grommet to match that hole, other wise you'll end up getting a short.
