Subject: Dynamat IP: Logged
Message: I was just wondering if thhat stuff really works because my back panel in my 93 dakota rattles really bad and it is aggrevating tryin to get some bass with out all that rattlein.... Does it work?

Message: yea it definitly works but it can be expensive. if you have plastic rattling on plastic its not going to help to much but will make bass sound alot better.

Message: www.b-quiet.com you can order it right from the website, another thing you can do if you are willing to let your truck sit with no interior for a day or two is the get the thickest tar paper you can find and a bunch of cans of rubberized undercoating.

Message: Use polymeric mastic available from McMaster-Carr.
Go here: http://www.mcmaster.com. It's on page 3240 of their catalog. $14.62 for a 32x54 sheet. Basically the same stuff as the more expensive dynamat & friends.
I just put two sheets of this stuff in my truck...world of difference...
Unroll it and leave it outside for a couple of days before installing to get rid of any asphalt small. I haven't smelled it at all since installing.
