not sure on the fuses/distro block, etc.
I have a 500w memphis mono class d amp, a 50W*4 mephis class AB amp.
I have a cap to go before the sub amp.
Only a few questions.
Do i need a fused distribution block, or just a regular one?
Would it be ok to run a 4g into the block, and 2 8g out to the amps?
biggest question is about fuses. Do i need inline fuses, either in general, or in the distro block if the amp has them?
if it helps, the mono amp's fuse rating is 25Ax2, and the 50X4's rating is 40A.
Im not sure what all that means, hopefully someone can clear it up.

go with a fused block and make sure it's easily accessable. Your wire sizes are fine, I'm running basically the same setup but I opted for a fused box plus an inline fuse near my battery so I could shut juice running to everything easily.
The best place to buy this type of stuff is www.darvex.com.. Trail who runs the site is great, super fast shipping and killer prices. If you have a 1 farad cap put it behind the distro block after the extra inline fuse, 1 farad is enough to cover your entire system.

that seems a little overkill to me. but i'm new at this, so correct me if i'm reading something wrong.

no just a fuse between your battery and block but before your cap, I have a 40 at my battery and 3 20's on my block.
so
[ battery ]
[ inline 40 fuse]
[ 1 farad cap ]
[ distro block with 20's]
[amp][amp][noting]
