Subject: 2 15" Rockford Fosgate Sub IP: Logged
Message: Hi,
I have two 15inch rockford fosgate punch z 2415 series. 150W RMS(300W max) each. I was wondering what is the best setup for the two subwoofers?
Mono/2/4 channel amplifiers.
I dont want to spend too much.
Thanks

Message: you want a MONO amp, also known as a Class D
running a mono amp to those 2 subs you have to wire them in parrallel (connect the 2 "+" from the 2 subs to the 1 "+" from the amp, and the 2 "-" from the subs to the 1 "-" from the amp)
this will result in a 2ohm load for those subs.
i think every Class D amp is stable at 2ohm. your options are wide open.
how about the Rockford Power 500bd?? it will be more than enough. 600rms at 2ohm. you got power to spare, then if you want to upgrade to some subs with a little more power handling, you dont have to buy a new amp to power them.
