Subject: Behind seat for Reg Cab IP: Logged
Message: Does anyone know where i can get a set of boxes to enclose two 10's behind the seat of my 98 Reg Cab Dak? Has anyone else done much with the regular cab? If so maybe you can email me some pics or just give me some info on a killer system for my truck.

Message: Crutchfield and Sound Domain sell boxes... check them out. Most important thing is to get the right type and size box for YOUR particular subs. The owner's manual/installation guide or company's web site should give you the needed specs.

Message: if you are just going to use sealed boxes build some for your subs, just use a program like winisd to design it.

Message: youll have better luck in just making the box yourself. most premade boxes are too deep (at least that I seen) and well..... clumsy lookin behind the seat. Also most premade boxs arn't rated for the subs your using UNLESS you go with the sub box made specificaly for that sub.....

Message: I have made the measurment for my boxes behind the seats but I think that if I get two of them in there its just going to sound like bass and nothing else. I would like to figure out how I could get one in there instead. My only problem would be the placement of the enclosure. I am kind of short on money and dont have an amp for my sub. I have used two in my old car in their originall enclosuer and it sounded fine. Even though i only have a 200 watt head unit. I dont need to bust my windows out I just want the quality, not quantity. Does anyone know if I can put the sub in there with the two stock front speakers and tweeters, or will it drowned them out?

Message: never run a sub off of a head unit. your head unit if you are lucky is only putting out 15 watts per channel. How much money do you have to spend on a sub, amp, and box? I'm sure I can come up with something for cheap.

Message: Q logic has some 10" truck boxs (can get those at best buy)but dought they'll fit cause i have 2 eights that i got from mtx with the box's and they just barely fit im short and its still a little uncomfertable and i got a 300 what amp as far as price goes it all depends on how loud and how good you want it to sound if your gettin it new expect to pay at least 300 bucks for cheap stuff...in my opinion the 8's are more tahn enouph fo a regular cab but i listen to metal so i dont have to worry about really deep parts they do sound kinda bad if you listen to crap oh oh im sorry rap

Message: why don't you look into a 10 inch Blueprint for like $79 and they are some of the best sounding subs on the market. Then power it with a JBL BP300.1 that should be more than enough power.

Message: No worries about having trouble fitting two tens back there. What I've done even with Q-Logic enclosures. Didn't have to really move my seat up that much. Few inches. *Shrugs.* Got an '88 so the interior room might be a bit different than what's out for today's Daks.
