Subject: Blown speakers/sub

I just got done installing my new amp/sub. I bought it used off of my cousins friend. We got it working for about 10 minutes, and then it cut out. I jiggled the RCA cables, and the sub poped real loud. That is when it blew. On the way home, I noticed that both front door speakers are now blown. So it looks that out of all that, I need a new amp, sub, and door speakers. I have a genII Dak with the Infinity sound system. Does anyone else think that these are sub-par speakers that come with the Infinity Sound? I need to know what size the door speakers are, and what are good replacements without spending to much on them. Im still in high school, so I cant spend much until I can work full time this summer.

Yes the stock OEM Infinity are sub-par... no where near worth whatever Dodge charges for them. Put a set of REAL Infinitys in and you'll be much happier.

What blew? the amp or the sub? or both? you sure something is not lose or a simple blown fuse. Maybe it was running too low of an ohm load and you toasted the amp.
