If anyone lives in the Atlanta area, a stereo store named Sound Sensations can make a custom box for our Dakota's that sounds great. They can do it for 10's or 12's...both sound better than the MTX Thunderform. If anyone is interested they can look the store up on the internet or contact me for the number.

I am not sure of the amount...I want to say it is the same as the Thunderform(250) but I am not sure. If you call (770) 429-1600 they can help you. It is called a wave box and they make it for one 10 or 1 12, but it is louder than anything with 2, and they make it specific for each type of sub. They will make it to fit in the space under the seat like the Thunderform, but you have to tell them that. I was about to get one but I already had a Thunderform and don't have the funds to buy another box, but they are awsome. I just thought I would throw this out to everyone. I made one of those boxes by my self using 5/8" partical board it sounds real good its about the same deminsions as the thunderform

I can tell you that it definetly is not the same. The Wave Box is made using a specially designed program and procedures. Yes, it is possible to make your own box like a thunderform, but these are better sounding than any other box I have seen and you don't need a big amp to push it.

Specially designed program? Does it cut the wood too? Are you talking about a speaker enclosure design software? Thats how I build mine. But the box is designed depending on the sub you put into it.

well if anyone knows where I can get this particular design program let me know cause I live in canada and cant find anyone to design me a box for my 91 CC and I cant afford to purchase a sub enclosure out of the states

i just built a box for 2 12"s. i used 3/4" MDF and fiberglass for the bottom.
check out my post "MY (2) 12's PROGRESS" and you will find links to pics of my box.
i just picked up the wiring and carpet. just gotta drill a few holes, run some wires, then carpet it.

Its not that I dont want to build my own box KovzR6 its just that I dont have a whoel lot of time to do it, I just started a new job and I dont get enough time off on the weekend to do it and I cant find anyone in canada to do it for me, I'd send money to the states to have one done but the thing is it would cost me like twice what it is actually worth to get one made down there and then ship it here
