Message: MDF 5/8" or 3/4". For the dakota the box will be smaller and 5/8" is fine as long as you put a divider in the box.

Message: Medium Density Fiberboard... aka Particle Board or Floor Board. Most common use is as a sub-floor in construction. It's basical sawdust that has been glued and pressed together. It's very solid and heavy, but cracks easily so pre-drill before trying to put screws in it. Once glued and screwed together it's nearly unbreakable!
Do not build your box out of plywood - it's too flexible even in the thicker sizes. Plus the joints are impossible to screw into since it's layers of wood, it will split or come apart.

Message: You'll know how much is needed after you measure for the box. At that point you'll also learn that two 12" will not fit back there most likely. But it all depends on the speakers (air space requirements and mounting depth) and your building skills.
However if you asking what MDF is then chances are your not going to be able to pull it off - not insulting you but... your talking about a small, tight space and thus it's going to require some pretty fancy wood working to make it happen.

Message: two twelves under the back seat is virtually impossible without fiberglass. I'd try 3 10's as that shouldn't be that hard.
