Subject: MTX sub enclosure IP: Logged
Message: here's the deal now, I've got a unloaded mtx sub enclosure for my 1997 dodge dakota and don't know what I want to put in it. I'm looking for subs that hit hard for rap music. I really don't think that the mtx 6000's that they reccomend for this box hit that hard... im sort of leaning towards two Polk GNX104, they are ten's of course. Everyone please let me know what you think or what you have in your box and what you think of them and what type of music you listen to. thanks, chris

Message: SUp Chris,
I listen to str8 up Hip Hop, and I'm rulling MTX Competition Blue Thunder 10's. They are the 8000 series though. I love them. Next on my list is the alpine multimedia deck to hook up to the dvd/cdchanger, and my systemt should be str8 from there. IT all depends on what you want really. I have a standard cab dak too, so room is a major issue for me. Hope this helps you out a lil

Message: If your looking for something to hit hard, get rid of the MTX enclosure. I sell custom club cab boxes and the feedback I get that the MTX boxes have "JUST OK BASS". Just my 2 cents.

Message: Jason, it sounds like u got a sweet set-up there and looks like it too. That enclosure just might be the one i'm looking for since the MTX Thunderform hasn't been "highly rated" if you know what i mean. If u are serious for only 140 for us "dakota viewers", then i'm defeinitely interested. I'll hit ya with an email...

Message: Jason, If I have you build me a box for two 12's, do you thing that the JL 12w3v2 will fit in there? go to www.jlaudio.com for the specs... also do you have to make any modifications to the seats (like raising them) for your box?
