im not sure which plug is on the 2000. you would have to take the radio out at check the plug on the back. then try this

i know the first one is for 2002+ radios. the middle one might be for 97-2001.

Just pull the head unit. On my head unit there is a sticker with the color code diagram for the wires. Mines a 2000 CD/Tape Unit.
