 Subject: MTX 6500d amp?

I was going to get the 6500d mono amp for a mtx thunderform and i know almost nothing about stereo equiptment. I wanted to know if I get this amp am I going to have to buy a capacitor for it so it doesnt dim my lights or anything or any other equiptment at all. And for anyone who has this or the 4250d should I just get the 4250d, does it hit hard enough.
Any info on this subject would be much appreciated

I would definantly go with the 6500D...it matches the subs perfectly and will sound a lot better than the 4250D.

definitely go with the 6500D, my brother has one in his explorer pushin' two 12" Thunder 8000's and that biznatch POUNDS...once I get alittle extra cash that's what I'll be buying...but as of right now I'm running my thunderform with the MTX 4202 and I also have a second 4202 on my front components and I notice a bit of dimming in my lights but now a whole lot...so I would definitely get a 1.0 farad cap....

Stay away from the MTX amps, I had the year older MTX 500D, shorted out and took my 2 MTX 7104's with it. Got it all replaced under warranty (1 year old) and then the rebuild shorted out and took one sub with it, got them all replaced again and put the damn amp on ebay. Didn't change any wiring and have yet to have a problem with my current Kenwood, that was almost 2 years ago...

I dont think you can find a better amp for the money!!!! I had the 500d for two years in a show car that was putting 697 rms at two ohm to two 12" audiobahn woofers........I beat that amp to hell and it never quit........you just have to know how to wire it properly and use the right gauge wiring.....also a cap would be helpful.......The 697 rms was at 2 ohm at 12.5 volts and I have the MTX Birth Certificate to prove it........MTX is just as good as most for the money

i think u should put the mtx thunder 6500 class d in ur ride it pounds hard i got three 12"inch woofers hitting hard in my nissan sentra it turns heads believe me people think i got 15's in my car and a bigger amp but whrn i show they cant believe it
