Message: Hi,
Well the question of subwoofers in QuadCabs has been around for a while.
o If you do not want to sacrifice the rear seats and their operation only 4 solutions:
1- Modifiy the 60% side to replace cup holders by a 8" or 6" sub firing down.
2- If you have the high bucket seats you can custom make a new center console with an 8" sub.
3- make a sub box over the back hump (squeezed between front and back seats.
- Some other sub box that you put back there with the seats up.
4- Replace the 'indoor' speakers in the back by mib-bass or subs.
o If you don't care about heavily modifying the back seats, you have options to put new brackets to make some clearance behind the back seats. Use your creativity to figure out how.
o If you keep the seats down all the time. Some of the guys here have put an 8" in a q-logic box behind the driver side rear seat (can't lift it up anymore).
Do a search on subwoofer and quadcab there is like 5 or 6 thread on it.
It all depending on how well you can live with it once its done.
There is no MTX thunderform for QUADCABs only for CC
There is no SthealthBox (JL or JBL i always forget) for QUADCAB but some think those for durango would fit.
Basslink (from ? ) would also be an option.

Message: Good luck Norman, I had to take out the 60 of the 60/40 rear bench in my 2001 Quad Cab to fit 2 10's. The amount of space back there is more than a Double Cab Toyota or Nissan, but fitting 2 subs without spending alot of money just isn't easy. You can check out the pics of my stereo and the changes it went through at www.QUAD2NV.com

Message: I custom made a box to fit behind the driver's side back seat. Let me tell you there is not much room back there. I put a 10" mtx4000 in it. Doesn't hit too well on the real lows but that mid to high bass hits pretty hard. The Qlogic 10" box will not fit so don't waste your time. I already have. I am looking to make another for the other side and hoping it will cover the lower side of the bass. It will have a bit more space there.

Message: if i gut out the one of the rear folding seats in the back of the passenger and remove that half of the tray under the seat then put a 12" sub mounted/inserted in a custom made enclosure and pack it realy well and insulate the inner walls of the truck, would it restrict the acoustic of the sub.
