Subject: Infinity Premium Speakers?
IP: Logged

Message:
I got the premium sound system in my new Dakota (maybe I shouldn't have but I did...) with the 8 infinity speakers. I think I may have the wrong speakers in the back...shouldn't they be two-way speakers? The ones that are in there are exactly the same as in the doors...just midrange/woofers.

Does anyone have part numbers for the speakers that should be installed? Pics?

Thanks,
Chris

roundboy0, sounds like you got ripped off on the rear speakers, they should be co-axial. But, I prefer to not have highs coming from the rear of any vehicle. I'm actually swapping out my rear co-axial's for a set of Infinity Beta 6 mids. For the front I'm working up a custom component set. The stock speakers aren't all that bad.

KovzR6, for the Infinity system they say 8 peakers in 6 locations, 1-tweet in each door, 1-mid in each door, and 2 co-axials in the rear. 1 co-axial has 2 speakers, the mid and tweet.

Yep, they're wrong. The dealer is ordering me two new ones for the back.
