i want to take out the factory radio in my 97 dakota and reinstall another den1/2 stereo is there any special way to mount the stereo in there.I was gonna use the factory mount but its all one piece.Any ideas would be appreciated

Run out to walmart, best buy, tweeters, anywhere that sells after market decks, and get a a dash kit specific to your vehical. The deck mounts in the dask kit, and then mounts in the dash giving it a nice clean look, and a perfect fit.

I have a 2002 dakota and was wondering how to remove the factory stereo so i could replace it. Do i have to take the whole dash apart? try to be specific if u know wat to do. thanks

mines a 97 and the plastic trim around the radio and guages just pulls right off not sure if its the same on an 02 though
