On crutchfield, it says the infinity kappa 62.5i wont fit in my 2000 dodge dakota club cab.
i talked to a guy and he said the mounting height wouldnt work out, evne though the speaker size does
whats up with that? I really wanted those speakers since everyone gives them so much praise
anyone care to comment

I'd bet they do not fit with the factory mounting plate but chances are you could build your own spacer out of wood or something and be fine. I'd remove the door panel and measure the space to see. However it's might be the tweeter height that's the problem. However I doubt it... those speakers are only 2 1/8" deep, so I'd bet your fine. Crutchfield is always conservative on sizes because most people are afraid to trim or cut anything in thier vehicle.

i got infinity kappa 652.5i and they fit perfect in my 98 club cab. they fit without any braket you just need to drill new holes. You use the infinity mounting rings and i even have the infinity grilles installed. they fit fine behind my doorpanels.

How good do the kappas sound? My right door speaker blew the other day so ill be needing replacements. I have the factory infinity sound system.. would they match the amp fine ?
