As you might know, and might not, I just had my tranny rebuilt. In the shop for a week. I have been lightly driving the dak for a week now. Been listening real close to make sure everything sounds ok with the shifting.
ANYWAYS....
Today I decided to trun the cd player on. No sound, except for a horendous pinging. Every 10 sec.s or so, the subs bang a this out. I even turned the volume off. Still pinging. Unhooked the rca cables to the amp, still pinging. So it has to be an electrical problem. Unhooked the power to the amp, and the pinging stopped.
So as of right now, I am runne no subs, just the radio and 4 cab speakers. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED. Sorry for the book but I wanted you guys to be able to get the whole picture.
Thanks a bunch.

check the + line in your engine compartment, maybe while they were working in or around that area at some point they made some sort of contact with the wiring and or fuse block for the power supply to the amp. keep us updated
