There are hundreds of subs on the market. You're gonna have to be more specific. Size? How many? How much money?

2 8" ed8A's by elemental designs, right now on preorder. Each sub would need only .25ft^3 and would play down to 33Hz.....not to mention car gain~3dB. They have a one way 16.5mm Xmax and a Bl of 16.6!!!! Check them out, ~$150 and should get about 300Wrms.

Best sound quality for the money and tight enclosure space would have to be Image Dynamics...they're really cheap used, and they sound awesome. IHO

NDakota....the ed8A's will piss pound the IDQ's in small enclosures~.25ft^3 and SQ, but the IDQ's are good woofers.

silverD, it all depends on how they are hooked up, what amp is being used to push them, and the type on enclosure. I've heard high end subs sound like shyt because they weren't hooked up to an amp that could drive them , or the amp wasn't set up correctly. Also, there are different levels of Image Dynamics subs, or you coudl buy ARC Audio subs which are the same thing.

HSKR-
Ndakota said the IDQ's were great SMALL BOX SQ subs. I said the ed8A's were great and probibly better SMALL BOX SQ subs. I also mentioned the power they should get, 300wrms. The price I gave was in his budget too. If you gave both the ed8A and an 8" or 10" of any IDQ line(around the same price~$150) 300W from the same amp and put them in the same small box~less than 0.5ft^3, I'm sure the ed8a would sound better. The A series are very small box subs, smaller than the IDQ's. I understand how having a differnt box size, power, etc. will affect the subs performance, but I thought that I made a clear comparison between the IDQ's and the ed8a's with the criteria that NDakota and I stated.

Matt- also check out the ed12a, requires only about .6~1ft^3 for a 12". More power needed though.
